Almost Done

I wish I could model with clay and stuff. This has been fun to learn. I think lighting and textures is my favorite.
Ok So I just opened up the tutorial scene that is on lesson 77 so I could do what the tutor is doing and make sense of it. So this Next stuff I will have pictures of will not be my models or textures. But I'm trying to learn here. Later I should be redoing it with my own textures, but I really want to get the tutorials finished.

I'm doing what he is doing in the lesson and changing some stuff. :)

It's what I'm working on right now, so it should start looking better. I just thought it was cool.

Woo!!

Ok Now I have learned the different ways to render light in the scene. Lighting is my favorite! Definitely my favorite. :) I feel bad tho because I didn't write down what each of these renders used and I should have. But I do know we use mentalray rendering and lights. Mental Ray shadows use Ray Traced Shadows.

I have to use photoshop but windows doesn't have photoshop so I've got to use a different computer and this computer at the same time... Lovely.

Woo. Haven't been able to put it on the model yet tho. I'm thinking of using the downloadable model and uvs so I don't have to worry about that and have time to paint more.

Look I made self illuminated lights that don't illuminate anything.

That made me kind of upset so I rendered it to see if that helped... It didn't. But hey first render.

I made it look cool. Too bad I can't render it like that.

Mornings suck

I was late to class today because I woke up at 6 then went back to sleep and when I woke up again I was all dizzy and couldn't sit up. When I was getting ready I had poor balance. I should eat something too, but I was already late.

Well here I go trying to start again with my model. I hope it works. I'm sad it was being obnoxious.
Welp the thing isn't fixing. I just moved on. Then got distracted because boyfriend started playing final fantasy.

well i started it. Just not very in the mood today. Too many distractions.

Actually more than I thought

I think I have like 8 more videos for the modeling part of the tutorial.

So I have made all the whatever thing.

But It isn't rotating correctly. I'm kind of angry at my model. The tutor doesn't always communicate exactly how he is doing something so if I have done something wrong it is hard to tell if I have.

I actually really need help with this problem. I don't know what to do, because every time I rotate it it skews when it shouldn't.

I keep making things. woo... extrude and stuff.

I think I'm getting pretty close to the end of the model. It just seems that there isn't a lot more parts to model.

I'm too frustrated right now to work anymore so i think it is time for dinner.

New Dawn, New Day

I couldn't finish the video I was on last time so here I am again in class working on my classwork. I had to stop in the middle of a video last time because of class being over. Modeling time again!

Woo! Look at that progress! ;) It's a jet engine or something. on a helicopter. It''s an odd helicopter.

I feel like every 3D modeler is a big ball of frustration because the programs are finicky and don't like working. Right now I'm frustrated because a flat plane won't move the direction I want it to and insists on moving wrong. So it's just stuck.

Now I got me some weird hull thing. That was pretty difficult to follow him.

Power Out

So the power went out for seemingly no reason in modeling class today and so I get to restart this video of the tutorial. Because what is the point of saving in the middle of a tutorial? So you don't have to redo it... sigh.

So now Iv'e done these fender thingies twice. I hope they are pretty enough.

I don't think I will get much more done today...

Well I got almost a whole 'nother tutorial done. I will just continue that next time I work on it.

Second Week of School

Pandora is great to listen to while doing homework.

Ha I was ahead of him and had it easier!! Not like I actually know really what I am doing though. I had already deleted what he is deleting so it was easier for me is all.

*grumble grumble*
complaining! no big deal I just had to restart because I messed up. My fault.

and the tutor can just make it perfect and forgets it is a beginner tutorial! bah!!
