Mental Ray does not work

I rendered it on maya software on a different computer. But Mentalray still doesn't work.

Rendering has completely broken. It won't show anything at all. If i try to cancel a rendering maya crashes. If I try to render current frame nothing is there. I need to fix the settings badly. I have no clue what I did to mess it up. :(

I'm gonna use this as the table legs!!

Back from insane senior work

I have finally made it to class again. I don't know how I am going to fix my crashing model tho... Yeah I need to redo some stuff so it will work.

Everytime I try to do anything like render a frame, maya quits. I don't know how to make it not crash everytime I do something.

Senior show is tonight

I have really been focusing on modeling my evil lair at the moment because I have senior art show and presentation tonight. I've been working on that all week.

And I keep crashing maya even thought I haven't really done anything.

It has too many polygons probably

I don't know how to make it happy but i know how to make it crash.

Yeah so apparently today is only a crash the program kind of day. So I think I am done until Tim can help me.


P.S.
My evil lair is a Genie bottle. If the curtains weren't so many polygons I would make it the right shape... I might delete and redo that.

Evil Lair

When I heard evil lair the first thing I thought of was couch and pillows. Because those are things I like. Maybe even a giant chair. I like comfort for myself.

It's Spring

Time for 3D Modeling.

We are so late and behind with what this class is supposed to be doing because we have way less time than the other class. So now we are starting our personal project. Which is less stressful for me because I don't have to get angry at a tutorial I am not wanting to watch.

The assignment is to make an evil lair. So because it is a lair for specifically me I am going to try and make a ton of pillows, and maybe a couch.

It is a seat of some sort. I found a tutorial for it. I will scale everything to this. If it works out nicely.

Didn't know Isolation had a Menu

Everything I do every time I mess up or completely don't know what I am doing.

But hey I made a door.

I get barely anything done in maya because I don't ever understand what I am doing. Or because the models(and programs) are so different it is hard to copy what he does.

(p.s. I hate Maya)

Spring Break is done

Maya opened so fast today!!

It took me and hour to finish a 10 minute long video. There isn't a point to starting another video because I will just have to start it over again. I hate how difficult this is.

panic attack

As soon as I started working on the tutorial again I had a panic attack and was struggling trying to figure things out.
I dont know how I am ever going to find a job in any field if I have panic attacks I can't control.
I can't make it exactly like the tutorial especially since the programs are so different. But I am trying to learn. I like 3ds max better because now I already know it.

And I also made the curbs a little smoother. That's what I've done so far. Panic and make stuff. Yay art.

continuing maya tutorials

Continuing the beginning tutorials so I can understand maya enough to do the other tutorial.

Ok now I'm starting to work on the urban environment tutorial again. Hope I don't get too frustrated now that I actually know where tools are.
Nope. I am still completely lost. I don't know where he is getting tools because he made a custom thing for the tools for this project so I have no clue where they are in the program.
Absolutely no clue really frustrates me and makes me want to throw my mouse at the computer screen. But I never do that to these computers. I'm just very aggravated.

Maya

woo hoo maya is different than 3ds max... This is going to be fun?

Yay I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and he is not helping. good job at having a completely different program pretty much because the years are so drastically different. And I do not know maya basics.

Texturing and Rendering

On time again! this is such a good accomplishment
